The American Women’s Association has been a long-time supporter of St Euphrasia Women’s Center.

St Euphrasia Women’s Center is a facility that teaches young women from the slums the art of tailoring, stitching, beading and cooking. You might have seen them at one of our coffee mornings selling their aprons, hats and embroidered tablecloths.

AWA supports them by providing baking classes and English classes. Once a week, volunteers go to the center and teach baking skills and conversational English.

St Euphrasia has recently moved from their previous location in South B to Ngong. When the new facilities are open, AWA is hoping to continue with the Baking and English classes.

If you are interested in volunteering at St Euphrasia, please let us know. We are also looking into other volunteering opportunities. If you would like to volunteer or know an organization that would like our volunteers, please let us know.
